We made it to Whitehorse yesterday. Here at Hi Country RV, we will stay 4 days and decide what and where to go next.
The trip from Liard River to Watson lake was a little rough as there was two sections around 5KM each of road construction. They both tested our new rock prevention system on the Jeep. During our 2016 trip we caused around $4,000 of damage to the Jeep. This motorhome kicks up quite a bit of rock on gravel sections of road.
We purchased the Blue Ox Rock Guard and Chris took a piece of carpet and designed a windshield protection. Both seemed to work. When we stopped we found a bunch of gravel on the Jeep, but no damage.
At Watson Lake, we were glad to see our 2014 and 2016 signs we mounted at the Sign Forest. This trip we did not bring a 2018 one.
We moved up to Teslin, where we had planned on staying two nights. Unfortunately, Mallory's Urinary Track Infection she got down at the Grand Canyon came back. We took her to a Vet here in Whitehorse who prescribed a stronger antibiotic. I sure hope this takes care of it.
We will see how she does over the next couple of days. I am not sure I want to go up to Dawson while she is still sick. We may defer that until late summer on our return.
I was boasting that we saw six bear in one day. Well that did not last too long. We have only seen two more taking the total bear count to 10.
The wood sign on top and the Colorado License plate are ours. I notices the paint is beginning to where off on our License Plate.
